The Community Transportation Association of the Northwest (CTA-NW), on behalf of Senior Services of Snohomish County (SSSC), contracted with LSC to complete a technical assistance project. The Transportation Assistance Program (TAP) operated by SSSC is a rural transportation program that serves areas outside the dial-a-ride transportation (DART) service area. This plan focuses on determining the transit needs of the community so that SSSC may better serve the residents of Snohomish County. LSC will also review the existing services provided by TAP, obtain public input through the Steering Committee and through key person interviews, and estimate the demand for rural transportation services in the service area. The plan will also include current TAP scheduling and dispatching procedures, assess potential coordination opportunities, and recommend conceptual service expansion options, dispatching/scheduling procedures, and software improvements.
