Rocky Boy's ReservationTechnical Assistance Project
The Community Transportation Association of America (CTAA) contracted with LSC Transportation Consultants, Inc. (LSC) to provide technical assistance to the Rocky Boy's Reservation in Montana. The technical assistance specifically focuses on identifying transit needs on the Reservation and how to best provide public transportation to meet those needs.
Project information will be posted on this website as it becomes available. Input is sought from the community regarding transportation needs and aspects of the plan as it is developed. Comments may be sent by email to LSC. The first Technical Memorandum (Numbers 1 and 2) is available for review. This Technical Memorandum will be presented at an upcoming meeting of the Advisory Committee.
Technical Memorandum #3 is available and presents the transit service options as well as institutional options. This was presented at a public open house on April 21. Input was provide regarding the service options and needs of potential users. Technical Memorandum #4 presents the Draft Transit Service Plan including operations, organization, marketing, and monitoring programs. Implementation steps are described. The Draft Transit Service Plan was presented to the Tribal Council and the Advisory Committee on August 5, 2004. The Final Report incorporates the material presented in the Technical Memoranda along with the recommended service plan and an implementation plan.
