The Northwest Colorado Regional Transportation Planning Commission (NWRPC)
has undertaken a study to prepare the 2030 Regional Transportation Plan and
2030 Transit Element. The partners included in the Plan are Grand, Jackson,
Moffat, Rio Blanco, Routt Counties, and the local governments within the
Transportation Planning Region (TPR). The 2030 study will consist of a regionwide
assessment of multi-modal transportation needs. The Transit Element (TE)
will identify the public transportation mobility needs of the Northwest Region
and prepare a plan for addressing those needs.
The Transit Element for the NW Region will be included in the 2030 Transportation Plan. The 2030 Plan is a multi-modal transportation plan which will include highways, transit, aviation, rail, freight, bicycles, and pedestrians.
URS, in cooperation with LSC Transportation Consultants and Ostrander Consulting, was hired to prepare the 2030 Regional Transportation Plan.
The Draft 2030 Regional Transportation is available for public review and comment.
All local residents are encouraged to provide input as the 2030 Regional Transportation
Plan is prepared. Please plan to attend one of the upcoming public meetings,
which will be announced throughout the region. The first public meeting will
be in early June. Your comments and suggestions are welcome!
